Blog Post 1: My Journey to Film: Travel, stories, and seeing the world differently.

My journey to film is a lot more than only a website title to me. My journey to film represents how traveling to so many different places like Italy, Greece, and Mexico has shaped the ways that I would see stories, people, and the whole entire world around me. Every place has its own feelings, culture and its own stories to tell all of us. Film is one of the most powerful ways to capture moments and turn all the real experiences into stories that are meaningful to everybody.

When I got out of high school, I became very interested in going to a lot of places in different states or maybe out of the country. Maybe it was some cities, some towns, a landscape where the place to visit is very interesting, or a place where I can learn a lot out of. Traveling has helped me understand stuff like this better because being in a place that Is extremely different from home feels like images that are from google. When people experience a place from real life, you can notice details like sounds, lightning, movements and some emotions. The details are the same things that the filmmakers can pay attention to when they are telling their stories from a screen.

My interests in film and traveling grew as I started to notice how there are movies that use their locations to communicate their emotions about the place. There is probably a peaceful beach, a crowded street that can be involved in a scene. Traveling showed everyone how real the environment feels and how much effort goes into choosing the right setting for a certain film. Me personally seeing so many new places helped me realize that film is not just about actors and dialogue. It is about the environment and how it supports the story being told.

This website that I am creating is places where I can share my journey of learning how traveling and watching films connect. There are different scenes on the way that it might be filmed, how lightning works, or how music can add to the emotions. Traveling encourages people to be creative because it pushes people outside of what they already know.

Another reason why I created my journey to film is to show my personal growth in film. Everybody is going to start somewhere. This blog is about helping me learn and improve in traveling. Traveling teaches people to be patient and appreciate people and cultures that are a lot different from their own. Film does the same thing by allowing so many people to step into stories they probably are not going to experience themselves.

I believe that storytelling is an amazing way to connect with everybody. There are so many films that can make audiences feel their emotions, their perspectives, and remember the moments long after the credit roll. Traveling works in a very similar way. Every trip creates the memories and the lessons that stay with you. Combining travel with films allows the memories to be shared with other people.

Through this blog, I want to explore how places influence storytelling and how traveling inspires people to be creative. Some of the posts are probably going to focus on destinations, others are going to focus on the lessons that are learned or the ideas that are inspired by the new movies and films. Everything is going to be tied to film, media and storytelling in a very meaningful way.

My journey to film is still going. I am going to explore more places in Europe and it’s just getting started. As I am going to grow more in travel, I hope that my understanding of film and storytelling will continue to deepen. I invite all the people to follow along as I would share my experiences, ideas, and stories that inspired me to travel and film.
